ugh, my son (17 months) woke up 4 hours earlier than normal today. we tried to let him cio and then we tried to rock him back to sleep (my poor dh rocked him for 1 hour!) but the second he was back in his crib he stood up and screamed up. he is under the weather a bit.
he only got 7 hours total sleep.
so what do you do if your dc wkaes up soooo early and won't go back to sleep?
tia!

This happens to us sometimes. Most of the time DS will go back to sleep, but if after a little CIO and even your DH rocking him..i would just say to go with it...and to adjust your daily schedule. Hope he feels better soon!

DS is a great sleeper, so if and when he wakes up that much earlier, it means something is bothering him.

Kaydyn did this to us yesterday. She usually gets up around 11am and she woke up at 7:45am. We tried letting her CIO in her crib for about 15 mins but she was just progressively getting more upset so we took her out. She then proceeded to pass out in her high chair at 9:30 for an hour.
We just adjusted her schedule for the day.
