I tell them we haven't decided, which is the truth. When we finally agree upon names, I doubt I'll tell people the choices b/c I'm not interested in their comments.

We told people we weren't revealing names until DD was born. We didn't want anyone's opinions.

that's why we kept our name a secret... when people would ask i would tell them that was the one secret we were keeping... DH told people we didnt know yet or would spit out some really ridiculous names just to get a reaction...

it's actually funny, DH and I just decided on the names a couple weeks ago....before that it was easy telling people "we haven't decided yet" because it was the truth, but now when i say it and i know it's a lie i feel so guilty! there's no way i'm telling anyone, i don't want to hear people's reactions to the names we picked...their opinion means diddly squat to me!

DH says "we're not telling" and then I tell him to tell the person the REAL names we are thinking of.
He then proceeds to list:
David Matthew
William Joel
Elton Johnathan
Cyndi Laupi
Patricia Benetar
There are definitely more... but I am drawing a blank.
People usually give us a strange look until they figure it out.

I tell them I don't know yet (I have some ideas but nothing anywhere near definite). They usually continue to ask for which names I like and I flat out say I'm not sharing them then ask them for their suggestions.
