I love it! But only if it's a great "young" cut and if it's maintained properly. Posh looks hot IMO.

I have a chin length bob, which I love, but for shorter, you have to have a certain face to pull it off. I would start shoulder length and see how you like it!

I sooo agree with this! Some people can do it, most people can't. You have to be honest with yourself and decide which group you fall into.
This advice is coming from someone who blamed a bad, very short (but not quite pixie) haircut on a freak accident with a lawnmower. Seriously. 
I was beating the WOMEN off with a stick for months.

ITA!!! I nice fresh short hair cut is a lot hotter than just having long stragly hair for the sake of having long hair. I for one cannot grow my hair much past my shoulders - it just doesn't look good.

That's tough. I did the pixie and a bit longer when I was in college and it was great, loved it, looked great I think and also got tons of compliments. But then I let it grow and decided to get it chopped again..not sure if the color wasn't right, or my face just changed but it didn't look as cute as it used to! I had it a pixie for years too and would love to do it again! My friends tell me to chop it all the time b/c they loved the pixie but I am nervous!

I love it if they can pull it off. Actually, today on the The View Jamie Lee Curtis was on and I thought she looked great. I loved her hair cut and even though it was gray and silver I don't think it aged her.

BTW...I love short hair...I have short hair!!!

I have short hair, not quite "mia farrow" short, but it is just by my neckline w/short layers.
It's been short for so long, I think I'd look strange with a longer length.

Sometimes I like it... I used to have a pixie cut but now I'm really happy with it being so long. It took such a long time to get here!

i tried to go super short but it just made my face look too thin.
however, i have a good friend who has very short hair - maybe 3-4 inches long on top, longer than a pixie, and she has had it that way for years. she pulls is off SO well and always looks gorgeous.
