The first one looks decent but just to warn you, wallpaper removal is a horrible job if you try to do it yourself and you will probably have to hire someone to do it for you. Finishing a basement runs at least 30K depending on how big it is.

The second one looks like a flip to me. Nicely done.

Re: What do you think of these 2 Holbrook houses?

i think the price they are asking is very high expecially for holbrook. i would offer a low amount and work from there.

After seeing the 2nd on...I drove by, I think you should offer a lower amount for the house. I would try at least $40K less...that is JMO though

I think the second house is overpriced. But generally in Holbrook for the nicer developments with sewers and sidewalks etc. (New England Village, Parkland, Greenbelt Pkwy Development)- mid 400's are the going rate.

I actually looked at the 2nd house on Sat. Everything is brand new. BUT..like someone mentioned before...there are like huge power towers RIGHT behind the house. It's awful.

Honestly, I'd go with #1. It looks bigger on the inside and has a huge backyard.

I know...it's hard to see..unless you get out of the car..and look in the back yard. The house is so nice though, so it's a shame.

I think on LI it is hard NOT to find a house without lines.
I don't think that would stop me from buying though.
