what do you think of these buttons...would the kids wear them?
finding "theme" related stuff is not easy.
do you think it's cute or LAME to put these buttons on the kids when they come to his party?
dh thinks it's lame. he doesn't think the kids will wear them.
I am torn.
help me.
they are pics of different characters/scenes from the book. they would NOT be personalized.

I'm not sure how old the kids that are coming to the party are but it seems like a cute idea. You might want to reconsider if they're younger - pins/sharp edges make me nervous.
If your DH still thinks its lame, maybe you can incorporate them into a game or something?

I don't know if the kids will wear them.
How about having stickers made out of them and putting them on the outside of the kids' cups? That way they can identify which cup is theirs, and they can take the cup home too as part of a favor?

I'd pass. While I think the theme is cute - it's not common & a lot of children may not know it...and depending on the kids, they're poking each other with them.

i would use the elements of the story as your theme items instead of little prince specific things.
get a few yards of yellow jersey fabric, cut into long strips becomes the scarf that the pilot wears.
get some planet/moon accessories for the different asteroids, add in some crowns & capes for the prince.

wow awesome. this is something I was leaning towards..having a crafts table to make sheep, or even papier mache asteroid planets...things like that.
I LOVE the pilot scarf idea!!! thank you
