What do you think of this kitchen?
We're looking at a house and this is the kitchen. I think it's pretty but it's just not my style. It's very traditional and I'm more of a transitional/clean lines. Wanted to get your opinions on it.

not exactly what I would pick if I were redoing my own kitchen, but I think it is beautiful and I would kill for that kitchen right now!!!
If I were looking at homes that kitchen would be a huge positive!!!!

Not what I would choose if I was picking my own...BUT if this was in a house we were looking at I would be more than satisfied with it.

Would I live with it, yes. Is it way over the top for me, yes. Unless I had a lot of money to burn I would keep it, but to me it is really gaudy.i also find it not functional from the view you posted. It does not have good flow, which would annoy me.

I like the counter tops & color of the island, but the cabinets are too ornate for me. It look very new & high end though, so I probably wouldn't change it.

I love everything EXCEPT that the center island is black. If it was the same color white as the cabinets, I think it would be alot "softer" of a look

What do you think of this kitchen?
It's not my style, but if I had that kitchen in my house, I'd be VERY happy. I don't think it would take much for me to make it the way I would love it. I feel like it's the crazily ornate crown molding that's doing it, and if I removed that and made it more simple, then I'd be happy. Also, once you put all your gadgets and gizmos in there (which I have a lot of) you wouldn't notice the over-the-topness.

I wonder if the moulding at top can be replaced. That is a lot of the ornate-ness. Maybe repainting with a fun color?

Not what I would pick if I had a choice, but pretty nice and way more than live-able. No way I would NOT choose a house because of that kitchen.

I love it! Its a bit more ornate than what we did in our kitchen which we remodeled last year but I love it anyway, I love white cabinets, dont mind the mouldings, love a big island, etc. I wouldnt feel like I was settling on a kitchen like this but would probably repaint. Cant tell if there is a backsplash or not but if not I would add a simple one.
