what does it mean when child porn is found on your computer?

does it mean you downloaded it from websites? or visited websites where it's right there for you to see? or you bought DVDs and uploaded them to your computer? or pics were emailed to you?

DH and i were talking about this yesterday and neither of us knew what they meant when they say it's found on your computer since it's illegal. are there really child porn websites out there? why aren't they immediately shut down? what if you accidentally stumbled across one (don't really know how that could happen)--would you be in possession of child porn then?

I would assume the person looked at a site that had child porn.. alot of times the sites are from other countries and some how these sickos find them and watch them.

I think theirs a way they can tell how long you were on the site.. like if it was by accident like a pop up thing or if you intentionally went looking for and actually stayed on a bit.

there are many child porn websites out there--often they are international sites and pedophiles go to special private forums and such to find the links and exchange info. its so disgusting.

just because its illegal doesn't mean there aren't thousands and thousands of images out there that can be traded thru email and such between people.

When it's an accident, you see one picture. When it's intentional, you see hundreds of pictures and have them saved to your PC.
