I'm getting either the Bumbleride Indie Twin or the Valco Baby Trimode Twin Runabout.
I've been agonizing over this decision for months, and I'm ordering one of the two this week.
I have an older hand me down version of the Duoglider from my SIL - I'm not a big fan of the tandem.
I am considering these-I am really concerned because my DH is 6'4 and I cannot try out any of these strollers. Is there a store where they have higher end strollers even in the city? When I come in Sept maybe I'll take a trip.
I am also considering the BOB Duallie or the City Series
I've heard great things anout the BJ City Mini. I checked it out at BBB. I just like the look of the others better.
We trekked to Brooklyn to try out the Indie Twin - there are no closer stores on LI, but a dozen in Brooklyn that carry it (?). I haven't seen the Valco in person yet. By the time you visit, I should have one of them - you can take it for a test drive at my house!
I'm totally taking you up on that!

I think having a side by side is too bulky for me to manuver and it doesn't pay to have an almost 3 year old next to an infant....I am getting a Sit and Stand Plus. I am going to have a hard time giving up my awesome PP Pliko Lite though  These double strollers(for toddlers and infants) need a redesign!!

I'm planning on this one too but this baby is going to be a winter baby so I'm not sure how much we'll use a stroller right away so I may hold off purchasing one and see how DD is about wanting to be in the stroller.

we ordered the Bumbleride Indie Twin and it came last week. so far i am love with this stroller. i was very against getting one that was side by side but they made it nice and compact so it can fit through any doors. the infant seat is able to go on and it does not smother DD on her side of it. i cant wait to use it. it got great reviews also. it has a million great features. check it out:

eta - we thought about a sit and stand but then i got nervous that ir we were out somewhere and DD got tired. i want her to be able to be comfy also.

The Graco is def one of the lightest I tested out and the folding was so fast and easy.
I am leaning towards the Graco but this means I would have to get a new carseat.
I got the Graco double stoller and I decided NOT to get a new car seat. I had a Chicco from DD. Although it does not "fit" or snap into the Graco, it is sturdy enough for me to put it into the back part of the double stroller. I could not bear to spend another $300 on a new travel system, when this option works fine for me.

i forgot to add that about the carseat.
the bumbleride one is compatible with a bunch of different carseats which was nice. i have a a graco seat i will be using on it. the stroller was enough $$$ i did not want to spend more money on another car seat.

I saw a really cool one that I liked in BRU by kolcraft.. but having really looked into it about the saftey of it.. Hoping it got good ratings.. b/c it was easy to handle and fold up.

I would like to know that too... I saw this and thought it would be great for me.. my little one doesnt really like to be in a stroller anymore but i figured if he sees the baby in one he will want to as well... and later i could use the stand part of it

I wound up getting the Mia Moda Compagno. Gotta be honest I'm not inlove with it using it with an infant carrier. I am hoping I like it better when my DS can sit up on his own.

I met someone in the store with this stroller and she told me you had to take a seat out in order to fold it up

I'm not sure how this post made it back into rotation after so long, but since I'm in the market for a stroller, I'm responding!
DD is 2 1/2 and 30 pounds- will she fit in the back seat of the sit & stand (the one with the back seat that comes out & converts to the standing thing)?? She's pretty big but she really needs to be strapped into a stroller for now. It's so affordable and I love that we can use it with the standing option for a long time.
I'm so afraid that she'll be too big for some of these doubles.
This is the other stroller we are seriously considering because it's one of the few that holds an infant carrier & it's not quite as expensive as the bumbleride, etc.
