what else to offer 8 month old to eat??
so ds, has been on stage 2 jars of fruit (likes all fruits), 2x a day, and in evening he eats pureed chicken with sweet potatoes/carrots.
I tired yogurt, wants nothing to do with it, hates green veggies, and then i did my own turkey and mixed it with apples and he hated that to.
i tired the gerber lentil container and he did like that...i have to go get some more
so what else do you feed??

Re: what else to offer 8 month old to eat??
My mom makes most of DD's food. She purrees chicken with spinach and sweet potatoe, and will add or subtract veggies at random. My DD also always had oatmeal with fruit in the mornings to keep her regular. I tried yogurt this weekend (vanilla) and she would eat half of it and then totally freak out and refuse the rest. I will try again next weekend with some banana yogurt to see if she likes that better. She did however really like peach yogurt melts so peach might be her thing. I also give her puffs to get her used to chewing.
This week we are trying pastina (tiny tiny pasta) that we will mix in with her chicken purree.

How do you all puree your meats for your DC? If I make chicken do I need to get the Magic Bullet or is there a cheaper way to puree?

well i bought the bebe cook food processor from william sonoma, but although it works i don't recomend it for pureeing large amounts of food, i actually use my food processor and then feeze it and make enough food to last me 2-3 weeks

I make all of DD's food and the Wholesome Baby Food website is the best! Even if you buy your baby's food, this has very helpful charts with what foods to try when - check it out for 8 month old:
