what gym do.you belong to?
So my birthday is only 2 weeks away & I told dh I want to get a gym membership for myself. After almost 3 years of being out of the gym world & 2 kids later, I'm opening a new chapter to get back to my wedding body which is only 20lbs away. It's me time.
Looking tor something reasonable & less then $40 monthly. Dh goes to a gym in Merrick but I'm not find of it. I'm on the south shore of Nassau.

I've been going to LA Fitness. I think I pay 25 a month for just me, but we had to pay money upfront.

Planet Fitness - $10 a month...has what I need: a treadmill and weights. PF does not offer classes.

I was just looking at them online. Do you have the universal plan sherry you can go to any PF or just the one you signed up for?

I was just looking at them online. Do you have the universal plan sherry you can go to any PF or just the one you signed up for?
I am a member of just one. If you want to be able to go to any you need to pay $20 a month - there are also other perks associated with the $20 membership like tanning, guest privileges, and discounts on drinks, but since I do 95% of my running outdoors the extra money is not worth it. Plus, my PF is .5 miles from my house so I rarely have a need to use another location.

Planet Fitness. I have the 19 dollar per month membership. I can go to any PF and you get small perks.

Xsport in Massapequa. SO far I am very happy. I chose it because it is open 24/7 365, with a baby at home I needed to be able to go at odd hrs,

NYSC - it is 45 a month but they have a gorgeous heated indoor pool which I love, they have amazing spin classes, and a ton of other classes including pilates reformer. i have them take it out auto. from my debit account - DH belongs there too.

same, but the one in levittown does have classes. they not anything crazy but its somthing

Gold's Gym in Bellmore. I paid around 218 for the year which came out to less than 20 a month

Same! its one of the cleanest gyms I have been too. They have daycare, a virtual classroom and a movie theater where they play the movie of the day and its filled with cardio machines, juice bar and tanning...its a pretty cool gym lots for your money IMO.

I went to N.Shore Fitness in East Meadow for awhile. I liked it.
Most recently I went to Sky Fitness in RVC which was a really nice gym. However it's def. not the cheapest.

I used to belong to NYSC but it was expensive ($61 a month and that was "Deal"  ) and their spin classes were impossible to get into, you had to call at 5am to get on the list, all other classes were overcrowded so I canceled.
I bought a spin package at a local place and TRX package now I alternate bc spin classes and TRX. I am very happy. They have opened a few fitness studios by me that often have groupon deals so I plan on buying packages this way and switching it up so I dont get bored.
