22 hours - New Zealand. Yes! I'm a nervous flyer but I was able to sleep on the trip and the experience was worth it. My best friend was getting married which is the only thing that would make me fly for that long. LOL.

Re: What has been your longest Non-Stop flight?
For a non-stop flight I did Atlanta to South Africa. That was 18 hours.
For flights that need to stop over because they need to refuel, then Australia was my longest clocking in at 24 hours. I did that flight quite a bit.
I hate long flights. They are miserable for me now. I need to be off a plane in a few hours. I’ve reduced my traveling lately because of this.

What has been your longest Non-Stop flight?
LAX to Sydney. That was just the second leg, we had to get to LAX first.
Coming home was Queenstown to Auckland to LAX to JFK. Still shorter than JFK-LAX-Sydney.
I’d do it all over again.

Once I got there, LAX to Melbourne. If my husband really wanted to, I'd do it again.

Re: What has been your longest Non-Stop flight?
about 11 hours - JFK to Honolulu.
Would I do it again? Absolutely! We've done it 8 times in the last 11 years.
We actually prefer the non-stop flight - I hate getting off a plane only to know I have another flight ahead of me. It helps that we fly first class on those long flights though.

I’ve done that flight from NY to Tahiti non-stop. I was on my way to Sydney. I think it was Air Tahiti. Luckily, the flight was empty and I was able to get a whole row to myself and sleep. Tahiti definitely has an interesting “airport”.

Oh they must have sped up then! I took that flight about 18 years ago.
Where are you flying into? If I may make a suggestion, get some Rand before you go. For some reason, whenever I flew into Jo’burg (it was my hub for other trips a few times), there was no ATM. You will save a lot of money by getting it beforehand.
Be prepared for a long wait when going through immigration. I’m talking like an hour or so. Perhaps you will have better luck.

I believe the 8 hours from LA to Tahiti. I can't sleep on planes so that wasn't much fun. I would do it again though.

Flying to Johannesburg. And then during our stay; there will be intermittent trips between cities. Thank you for the tip....will do.

What has been your longest Non-Stop flight?
NYC to LAX is the longest for me, and just about all I can handle! We want to go to Hawaii, but I would rip my hair out being on a plane that long!

About 8 hours—JFK to Barcelona. I would do it again. It wasn’t bad. Slept most of the way.

Re: What has been your longest Non-Stop flight?
14 hours.
I slept a lot, read a book, got up to walk the aisles/go to the bathroom regularly.
I would do it again if the destination was worth it.

I did JFK - LAX - SYD. And then a flight to Hobart Tasmania and then and 1.5 bus ride. Worst trip ever. I didn’t want to go home. But trip home was much better. Did it all over again 5 months later and flew business class which made a world of difference

Re: What has been your longest Non-Stop flight?
18 hrs to JoBurg, South Africa but it touched down in Dakar Senegal to let some people off (I had to stay on). Did that flight by myself but it wasn't too bad. Slept and watched movies...this was before Netflix LOL
I think LAX to New Zealand was about 14 hrs...did that one with hubby and it's key to et extra seats for sleeping unless you can sleep in a seated position for a long time.

Yep - Air Tahiti. I did it 12 yrs ago and it was when they had started doing direct flights there. The airport is interesting. It reminded me when I flew to Punta Cana the first time 18 yrs ago - the airport was one hut.
We did the flight from Tahiti to Moorea and there was literally a curtain separating the pilot from us. My husband was dying since he is scared of flying. And he had the curtain open and was talking to us
