Re: What is "adjusted age"?
When a baby or babies are born early they usually will have their true age and their adjusted age. For example, my twins were born at 30 weeks so they were 2 1/2 months early. So when they were 6 months old their adjusted age was only 3 1/2 months old. It's mostly used for milestones. Even though they are 6 months they should only be looked at and compared to other 3 1/2 month olds because that's what they really should be. Usually the "adjusted age" is no longer considered once the child hits 2 years old.
