What is something weird or ridiculous that chokes you up?
And I mean ridiculous!!!
Or at least mine are that I was thinking of ...
Marching bands in a parade - for some reason the pomp gets me choked up! 
Tap dancers in old movies - no clue ... maybe I'm jealous I can't do it, maybe I'm blown away by the skill ... don't know but I was all "overwhelmed" watching Singing in the Rain a few weeks ago!!

OK no laughing, but when the Blue Angels fly & get all choked up. I was bawling like a baby when I got to see them in person at the Daytona race for the fly-over a couple of years ago

I got choked up last night and this morning....I went to bed when OSU was down 20 to Tennessee. My heart was breaking but my eyes were closing.
I cried again this morning when I saw in the paper that my boys won!!!  I posted it because sounds ridiculous unless you went to a Big Ten or ACC school.

Oh I thought I was the only one - I ball everytime I hear bagpippers. And what is funny is I work at a catering hall for my 2nd job and so I hear them at least once a month and I get all chocked up at work then. I just love bagpipes!

People saying goodbye to one another in an airport...Although, as someone who has had to say goodbye to many people many times in an airport, I don't know if it's weird or ridiculous

My grandfather was a singer. He passed recently & he used to sing this all the time. His widow played it at his memorial service & I actually almost fell over I got so hysterical.
I also get choked up whena crowd goes nuts over a sporting event, or a performance or something like that.

I actually thought of you this morning when I saw that.
I couldn't believe they pulled it out!!
Mine is related...I always get choked up for the college teams that lose in these big games. Especially the seniors.
To see these huge guys get all heartbroken...

When we are at a major sporting event and they sing the national anthem... its so quiet, all you hear is the crowd singing along and I get chills every single time.
ETA: that credit card commercial... chase maybe?? when the little girl is getting married and the dad keeps seeing her as a little girl.... before I had Sydney I thought about my dad and I, and now that I have her I picture DH and hre

Bagpipers & Amazing Grace.
We had the NYPD Pipes and Drums of the Emerald Society play the bagpipes & an opera singer to sing Amazing Grace every year at our event on Ellis Island. Not one year went by where I wasn't left with a lump in my throat.
Also respect for the elderly does the same. Our security guard ran over to the revolving door as an elderly woman was going through. The guy behind her was pushing it too fast for her to walk. When the guard slowed it down for her, I wanted to hug him.

When people start out slow dancing and than start breaking out into a upbeat song and dance to surprise you.. I know it is so weird and I say what is wrong with me… There was a youtube video someone posted the other day with the couple at their wedding and they started out with the slow dance and than started this techno type dance routine in the middle… every time I watched it I would break out in tears when they started the fast dance routine… WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME...

I get like this too.
I got all choked up in the opening scene of the Lion King (Broadway, not movie). I wasn't sad either, it was emotional.
Older people eating alone make me tear up too.
