What is the difference between spotting and a light period?
What exactly is the difference? I have no clue sometimes how to note my period on FF because I dont know if CD1 is just spotting or a light period day. Is spotting when you wipe with tissue and theres blood but no blood on the undies and is a light period only when you use a light pantiliner? Thanks!

This confuses me immensely too-- and I usually just count it as red blood, if that helps at all.

For me, I consider a light flow day, one where it's too light to use a tampon. I consider it spotting if I only see it when I wipe.
