what is the general cost of: closing a pool for the season? a cover for an HIG/IG pool?
just trying to get a sense of what is the reasonable pricing for these things....

I don't have any in that area.
And that price was just for a closing, it didn't include a cover. Sorry didn't see that part of the question.

we just purchased a new cover for our IG this year and it was $160 on sale. that's for a 20 by 40 mid-grade cover. they differ in price depending on the quality and size.
i don't have any prices for closing because we do it ourselves. takes about half a day and maybe $75 in chemicals and supplies (water bags).

Our cover came with our pool, so I don't know the cost (we have a semi-inground). My brother has an IG pool and just mentioned that he was looking into getting the loop-lock cover and it was about $3000.
