What is the most far in advance you would book disney

I know what seems like it makes no sense ....

Curious....how far is the most far in advance to book that is reasonable???ETA: I am looking to book way ahead of time just didnt know when it would be way to soon/ early

I think we booked sometime in February for our trip in July.

It depends when I was going. If I were traveling during one of the school breaks, I would do it about a year in advance.

Most of the times I go there when it's more "off peak." I've booked trips with as little advance notice as a week.

we did it about 1 yr..the best is that if you get a coupon code or cheaper price, you just call and they adjust...so it doesnt hurt to do it earlier....gives you more chance to have the best poss deal

They release packages for the next year (so 2012) in August (usually mid august). Otherwise you can call and book further in advance than that but the price isn't locked in at the 2011 rate - it is more of a hold then when the 2012 packages are released they adjust it. We have booked in August for the following fall - that was the longest in advance - otherwise we have also booked in August for May. You would book rack rate then you watch for codes to come out or to receive on in an email. If you book straight through disney you just call them up and they automatically adjust your package to the code promotion (be it free dining, discount off room rate or gift card etc). You can't mix and match you get one discount. Just make sure that you don't wait too long once a code comes out b.c they only have a certain amount of rooms put aside for each code at the hotel and view - and once those go you might have to make a view or hotel change to get the code. Watch mousesavers.com or disboards - they are good about announcing immediately the minute any code comes out with details.

I have booked in late January for end of April/early May same year last year. But it was off any vacation time. For booking during vacation time, I would go about 1 year.

I've booked as late as 2 weeks before and as early as 6 months out... it depends when you're looking to go. If it's a time when school is out do it as soon as you can. If you're going when kids are in school you could probably wait a little longer.

I've booked up to 6 months out. What's greta about Disney is they only take one night of the hotel as a deposit and you can always change the res if a better deal comes out.

We booked in Feb for our trip in 2 weeks... and let me tell you... Mostly all of the restaurants were booked already with reservations! I couldn't believe it!!!

You can start booking meal reservations 180 days in advance, I would book it at 180 days before.
