I think it depends on which carseat you have, mist 18-20 lbs.
Mine - chicco - limit is 22 lbs. DS is about 20 lbs and I am ready to reitre the seat now.

OMG I am pretty sure I kept DS #1 in his until he was 11 months LOL. He was always underweight. He just turned 2 and is only 25lbs.

We just took Ryan out of the Snugride last week b/c he was 20lbs a few wks ago so we figure he's inching up on the limit
