DD#1 -- Kaydyn -- has never been in the top 1000 for girls
DD#2 -- Ainsley -- ranked 417 in 2009 but she was born in 2010
Meredith ranked #146 in 1978
Michael ranked #1 in 1975

In 1975, my name - Kathryn was #99, it's #215 in 2009
In 1974, DH - Christopher was #3, it's #11 in 2009

DS was born in 2008 and his name was #3...exactly why I didnt want that name for him but DH and I could not agree on any other name. (Ethan)
DD was born in 2006 and her name was #34. (Sydney)
DH and I were both born in 1975. My name was number 63 and his was number 5.

Yea, I see that. But how would they group them? What number would they all be?
In some cases I dont feel it gives an accurate rating of popularity of a name. Names with a ton of different spellings may be on the list several times....When if they grouped the name itself and then just offered different spellings the name might be higher on the list...Then, under each name, they could offer the popularity on the spelling itself. This is what other "lists" do which is why they vary so much.
I dont mean names like ISABELLA AND ISABELLE that are 2 different names...
I mean like Kailey, Kaylee, Kayleigh...Its still the same name and may be more popular than other names if it didnt have so many ways to spell it....

I'm surprised it was that high on the list. I thought it was less common than that.

DS#2: Julian was #62 in 2009 (he was born in 2010)
My name (Hollie- spelled Holly on the site) was #52 in 1977
DH's name was #6 in 1976

Carolynn is not in the top 1,000, but, I spelled it "carolyn" and in 2009 it's ranked #689.
