What is your preferred method of communicating?
Of course, there are always variables involved... If I'm sending paragraphs of formatted text, email from my desktop is preferred. For quick responses, I like texts.
In general, how do you prefer to communicate with people?

Re: What is your preferred method of communicating?
I was going to say texting but I actual prefer email because it's easier and quicker for me to type long conversations out on the laptop vs the phone. I suck at typing on my phone!
But either way I prefer either of those to any kind of phone conversation

Re: What is your preferred method of communicating?
I prefer to text. It is quick, convenient, I can send pictures or videos, and I can reply when I can if I am busy.

What is your preferred method of communicating?
I PREFER talking on the phone, but often communicate by text. I feel like it's usually so much quicker to have an actual conversation and also much easier to avoid any confusion or misinterpretation. It really depends on the person and reason for communicating - a quick question or something, I get it, texting is very convenient. But to really discuss something, text can get so out of control.

Re: What is your preferred method of communicating?
Text. I cant stand shooting the $hit when someone calls me. I'd rather a to the point text that I can answer when I get a free moment. I feel rude answering my phone if I'm with anyone else or on the train and at home I'm in the moment with my kids or my bf. I pretty much only answer my phone if I'm alone in my car, so pretty much never!

Re: What is your preferred method of communicating?
Texting if it's a quick conversation. Email (from computer or phone) if details are required.
I hate small talk and I'm not a phone person at all. I spend a lot of my work day on the phone and that's enough for me.
Most of the time when I'm on the phone at home, I'm busy flapping my hands around doing the "wind it up" gesture.

LMFAO That is soooo me! I have zero time or patience to chat on the phone. Hit me up on Facebook or send me a text!

its sad so few people want to speak on the phone, I think that's a big problem for us as a society. Not wanting to talk and have a conversation, very sad IMO worse, kids, young adults have no clue how to speak to other.

What is your preferred method of communicating?
In person is my first choice-If that isn't possible a quick phone call. Texting takes too long to get to the point and there is always a chance things are misinterpreted- talking on the phone you can actually hear a person's tone.

What is your preferred method of communicating?
It really depends who I'm talking to and what about. My answer will totally vary based on this. Sometimes the phone is way better, sometimes a text will suffice and on occasion I like email. I don't like to do any at length though.

What is your preferred method of communicating?
I voted in person. Social cues make it easier than a phone call (my LEAST favorite way to communicate). I'd rather send an email than text- quicker for me to type everything I want to say. I'm horrible at sending back texts and often abandon my phone mud message.

What is your preferred method of communicating?
As a teenager I talked on the phone a lot! So much so that my parents gave me a separate line just so they could actually use their phone. And I have a select couple of friends now that just prefer phone talking, so I deal with it, even though it's hard with my son around (since that is the only time he wants to tell me his life story). But in general, I will text for almost everything if given the choice. I take rejection better over text, I make less of a foul of myself over text, since I can think about what to say instead of spitting out the first thoughts that pop in my head.

OMG, this is totally me!!!! I honestly thought I was the only one who experienced this??? I've always been embarrassed by it.
I have serious phone anxiety. I currently have a list of no fewer than five doctors I need to call and make an appointment with. The list is collecting dust, because it takes forever for me to work up to actually calling. It's awful! I could never have a job where I had to spend a lot of time answering the phone or making phone calls. I'd be fired in a heartbeat.
Texting for me. Then email.

This is me. It doesn't help that English is my second language, so I feel very conscious about it. For doctors appointments, I found Zocdoc as a great alternative There you can choose the speciality you need and make the appointments online. It is great!

I choose doctors based on how much they use technology. If I have 2 drs that have the same credentials but one has an online portal and appointment selection, I go with that doctor.
One of my doctors will even send pdfs of appointment discussion and test results to my email before I even pay my copay. I love it.
