I'm feeling a little sad today that...
Ava looks nothing like me EVERYWHERE we go, people say, "Are you sure she's YOUR baby?" I mean, I know they're kidding, but come on, couldn't she look like me at least A LITTLE? I'm Puerto Rican and Italian, and JT is 100% Irish and it looks like there's not one, single Italian/PR gene in this kid. Unless of course she grows up with a booty like mine

First off, what a great picture you have in your avatar!
Secondly, Ava is going to grow and change so much that who knows who she is going to look like. I think she has your nose just from the picture posted.

I know it's kind of silly to be upset over, and I knwo they change, but I have heard it SO much lately and people say it like there's something wrong that she looks nothing like me.

Awww Rach I feel the same way..no surprise there that we have something in common huh?? LOL
Although Megan doesnt look exactly like daddy, I dont think she looks anything like me at all. Sometimes it bothers me, especially since we were the ones who carried them for 9 months and then gave birth to them. Dont feel bad..who knows...they may grow up to look just like us!

Aw they change so much in the first year.. My dd is exactly my DH, As my sil says it is my DH with a pink bow..  Just wait you will see certain features come out as time goes on..

Aw Rachel when my daughter was first born she was the clone of my husband- now at almost 18 months she looks more like me (poor thing  ) they do change day to day.

ah then when people make stupid comments like that tell them- honestly I am not sure I am waiting for the maternatiy tests to come back- maybe that will shut them up!

Hang in there. You'll be amazed at how much she changes in the next 6-8 months. I look at Miranda's 3 and 4 month pictures and I'm just amazed at how she has changed.

Don't be sad When my DS was born he looked 100% like his daddy. This past few days people are telling me that he is changing alot. I am sure there is something of you in her.

Maybe it's me, but I can NEVER tell with very small babies who they resemble. Once in a great while I see a little baby who's the spitting image of one parent, but that's unusual.

I hear what you are saying, my mom always says, doesn't it stink when you carry the baby for nine months and then it comes out looking like the father? But she is still young and could still change and start to look more like her mommy!!

Give it some time- RJ looked just like DH in the begining- and I HATED when people would say things like you quoted above-
Now the child is ALL mine- and people say it all the time- He is def. my mini me!
Babies change ALL the time!

awwww I'm sorry you are feeling downabout this. I have only seen a few pics of you and I can already see alot of you in her beautiful little face I too didn't think my DD's looked at all like me until someone came to my house and saw my youngest and said WOW there's you're mini me

my friend is a redhead with two kids - her daughter looks nothing like her - a complete replica of her husband (who is latino w/ dark hair and eyes) - her son who was born this yr looks like her twin - its so cute.....give it time, she might change yet - or lol...you could always have another one who could be your mini-me!!

Don't worry - my kids have always looked like my husband down to the light hair and light eyes. Both are spitting images of every possible gene on Neil's side of the family.
I gave up caring about the fact that my kids look nothing like me.....I just thank g-d that my husband is good looking

i get the same thing all the time! My daughter is literally a spliting image of my husband and MIL!! Everytime I go out - people always tell me "so cute, she looks like her daddy right??" urgh!!
I guess they don't say daddy's little girl for nothing - hopefully our next children will look like us
