My boys have been home for one month!!!
Biruk and Paulos have been home for one month tomorrow!!!! So many of you have been so supportive and wonderful, I just wnated to give an update.
They are wonderful..we have had our battles, they have tested my limits, they have threatened to walk back to Ethiopia, but we have worked it out and I can so that so far, we are a happy family! They laugh all day long, theyt are very affectionate and sweet and are adjusting so nicely. They make me laugh so hard I think I could wet my pants. We have a really good time together and I feel blessed that they are so well behaved. We have visisted with some of their friends who had been adopted also and they are not as well behaved.
They went to swim in the ocean for the first time and it wsa the cutest thing that I have ever seen. The waves kept knocking them down. They are the skinniest things that I have ever seen, yet they are always flexing their muscles..so every time they got knocked down, they would flex and go back in, only to get knocked down again. Next thing I know, these boys are karate kicking the waves, only to look REALLY shocked when knocked BACK down. Just too funny! Their innocence amazes me..they are beyond amazing.
My husband(soon to be ex) is completely missing out. He didnt want them..and they are a GOD send. They couldn't make me happier...well..actually, their farting contests I could do without..but they are wonderful children. I look at them and still cant believe that these faces that I kissed pictures of for months are actually here..talking and laughing! This is truly the best experience of my life. I am a lucky, lucky, woman!!!! Every day just gets better and better!

Yeah, their farting contests are pretty fowl..they want me to take part in them and get mad whenj I refuse..I will burp however, and can outburp the two boys put together..they laugh very, very hard when I do that..they are such typical boys..it doesnt matter that they lived in an orphanage,..boys are boys..and thes boys keep me laughing. God was looking out for me and gave me two amazing boys!!! I am so damn lucky!!!

Wow!! i cant believe its been a month already!! That pic is Great!! All 3 of you are beaming so much. Im so glad that after all that you went through in the process (and everything else that happened along the way).. that you and the boys finally have the family that you all deserve

I THINK they love me as much as I love them..except I dont threaten to walk back to Ethiopia when I dont get my Way!!!!
Honestly, I know they are testing me,,what breaks my heart, is when I have to get on them for misbehaving and they ask me if I love them..they say "you no love me, no?"
It kills me. I tell them I dont like it when they dont listen, but I will love them forever and they cry..ist so damn heartbreaking what they must have been through. Its not fair..these children BEG for attention..no child should ever have to feel that if they misbehave they arent loved. I hate that.
But again..thanks for the nice things youve said. I think that we are doing very well. We have a nice relationship so far..I wouldnt change a thing!

They are actually counting the days until they start school! We have visited many times and tuesday we go for an icecream social to meet the teacher..so its very exciting! They officially start on Thursday! Weve been practicing alot of words, numbers etc. They are smart boys and I have faith that they will be just fine! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are absolutely adorable and you should be so proud of yourself. First of all, for doing this in the first place and secondly, look at the wonderful boys you are now raising! They are amazing and so are you. You all look so happy in all your pics, I can't wish you any better than what you now have. (ok, maybe that they stop threatening to go back)

Yay! Alicia, I'm so happy you posted. The boys seem like they have settled into their new homes quickly. It's only natural for them to question your love and threaten returning. It's all still so new to them. It seems like they are very comfortable and happy in their new surroundings though. I'm so happy for you. I'd look at all 1,000 photos if you posted them. congrats again! can't wait to hear the school stories!

HI Alicia! I am so happy to see your updates! They are both so cute and I love hearing the stories about them (and seeing pictures!)
I am curious about school... Are they going to be in the same class? And what grade will they be in? Keep us updated!!!
