OMG a month. Feels like just yesterday you were picking them up at the airport.
They have the biggest smiles. They even look a little alike in the first pic.
That is great they are adjusting.
What a great family you have. You have truely been blessed

i am so glad you posted. I know you must be extremely busy.. We are all thinking of you, as you can tell by the responses. A month already!! By the smiles on their faces, you can tell they are truly happy. You are their angel , Alicia... you are giving them a life they would have NEVER experienced...
and as far as dex, HIS LOSS!!!! i hope you are doing well personally in your life as well. I know its been a year this weekend since I split with chris and it is still hard even though i have moved on.. you fill find happiness and love again.. you are a hot mama!!!

The boys will start in the 3rd grade, but I wanted them in separate classes..they are constantly competing..if one gets two hugs, the other wants three...everything is a competition with the two boys..I am trying to stop that, but I cant have that in the classroom..I want them to feel free in class to live up to their potential without feeling that the other is doing better. Does that make sense? They will still have each other at recess and lunch, just different teachers. Actually their classrooms are two doors away from each other.
So there is an ice cream social tomorrow where they will meet their teachers and then the first day of school is thursday! Very exciting! Im going to be a nervous wreck..hoping that they arent scared and that noone makes fun of them. UGH
But thank you so much everyone for your wel wishes!!!
This is Dex's loss..he is missing out on so much. Oh well..Im doing just fine. This would be much easier emotionally if I werent suddenly a single mom..but I am getting by just fine and every day is getting esaier. As for ever dating again..I cant see it happening. Im not exactly the perfect catch..going through a divorce with two newly adopted children. But I'll be ok!
Julz..thanks for asking about my job, etc. I LOVE my job..Its wonderful. Im counseling abused children and adolescents and I really, really love it. I love my apartment and where I live. I even gota new car..I gave Dex the Lexus and now have a much more practical car..I have a Forseter and I Love it! That stupid lexus was about 65 bucks to fill up, where the Forseter is only 30! YEA!!!!
Im very, very happy!

Thanks for sharing! I am sure there are so many adjustments, but it sounds like you are handling it all amazingly! Just letting them know you will always love them is the most important thing- and you are clearly doing that. I think you are making all the best decisions- definitely keep them in different classes- it will also be better for them socially as well as educationally. You are really thinking of everything. You are a wonderful mom! You should be very proud!

Good luck on the first day and letting go- I will be thinking of you since you only had a month to adjust to the first day of school! WOW! Its going to be so exciting for you and them.

i am so happy for you and the boys and glad to hear that things are going good! i wish you all the luck in the world! i love to hear the updates! great stories! maybe one day we(liw/f friends) can meet them ! but untill them enjoy your time and being a great mom!
ps. i know being a single mom is hard, been there, but if you hold tight to yourself you will be just fine! i hope that makes sence! again congrats!
