potentially very serious....in the stage waiting and waiting for test results.

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon We had a CF scare with Grace at 6 weeks old. We were told that we could not take the sweat test until 8 weeks, so for two weeks we had to wait for finite answers. Chat Icon
We prayed A LOT, I cried a few times and I basically surrendered that it was beyond my control and what ever the results were, God would be with us and helps us through it. Surrendering gave me a strange kind of peace about it. I hope that helps and makes sense.

BTW, Her CF screen showed she was a carrier, but did not have CF.

You and your Chat Icon are in my prayers. Chat Icon

Re: Question for parents who have had medical scares with their children

I do a whole lot of crying while my DH prefers a state of denial. I do A LOT of internet research and find out as much as I possibly can about every test and every possible outcome. My best advice is be your childs advocate and be firm and persistent with your questions and desires.
My son had an appointment at Schneiders that was booked until December, but I called 3 times a week asking about cancellations and after 3 weeks of that we were seen last week. Please FM me if I can direct you to any info or give you some BTDT advice. We've been through MRI's, CT, EEGs, DNA testing, EBR, IV sedations and Ethyl Chloride sedations just to name a few.
Just love him to pieces and take each day as it comes.
