Currently United Healthcare...and I've had some issues with them fairly recently and I would not say I like them very much.

I've had many other insurers too...and honestly, I didn't really think any of them were all that great.

GHI... they are okay...haven't had any major problems and you don't need referrals for specialists.

I have HealthNet. I like it. I don't use it much, but I don't need referrals, which is why I chose it over the others offered by my company.

What'd you think of Aetna when you gave birth?

I actually had Blue Cross blue shield before which covered 80 % of all the obtetrician's fees and I payed the hospital fees with medicaid.

they changed his insurance this year though, so I'm not sure of what Aetna covers but i'm sure it's way better than blue cross.

I also have Aetna. Just curious did they cover your Firstscreen test? We called today to see about that test and also the Ashkenazi Jewish Decent tests, but the only answer we received was they would cover it if the doctor deemed them medically needed. Just curious what your experience has been.

Everything has been covered so far. I have no co-pay for OB visits, just a 15 dollar co-pay for sonos. I have had a helluva time trying to get info on what's covered for the birth and the hospital. I can't seem to get any answers, which scares me.

Re: What kind of health insurance do you have?

Since we've been married I joined DHs plan and now have Vytra. So far so good. Before going on his plan I was with Aetna and hated it, but couldn't afford the other planned offered by my co. The plan my company chose was VERY restrictive. Not much was covered and my absolutely favorite Doctor REFUSED to take Aetna.
