Empire Gov't Employees Plan.

It's not perfect but it's better than DH's Huntington Group (very limited, very small company).

While my plan isn't ideal it does give a $50K maximum lifetime benefit and right now that is what is covering the staggering costs of fertility treatments. It's not much and most catestrphic illnesses you will go through that amount of money in no time but it does help.

Oxford- so far so good through pregnancy and delivery, that was mostly what I used it for.

Currently Vytra and I'm not very happy with them. Just found out our company is switching to Cigna later this summer - and our cost and co-pay are going up Chat Icon It's already high so I just hope the coverage and service are better.

Re: What kind of health insurance do you have?

OK...I always do this, and am gonna do it again.

I work for Empire BCBS...

Keep on mind the plan you have, what it covers, how much you pay out of pocket on co pays etc...is NOT THE choice of the insurance company. IT is your employers choice on what to cover. They TELL US what to allow and what to charge. So when you are interviewing, accepting a job, be very sure you liek the benefits offered, NOT just the company choosen.

The difference between just one company to another can be tremendous.

Now as far as customer service and quick claim payments...that you can hate us for Chat Icon

I have HealthNet. I like it. I don't use it much, but I don't need referrals, which is why I chose it over the others offered by my company.

Same here. I like the NO Referrals!Chat Icon

We have performax. It's great. Good price for prescriptions and Dr.visits and no referrals needed.

We had Cigna and I was very pleased with it, but DH's company switched to United Healthcare. We've had it for about half a year now and we haven't had any issues (we did have a couple with Cigna, but nothing major.)

We have Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. So far no problem, but for the past 2 years the co-pays have gone up. Chat Icon Visits to my OB when I was pregnant were $0. Was on bed-rest in the hospital for 30 days paid only $400. Delivery and my daughter's stay in the NICU for 3 weeks, also paid $400.00.
