Re: What kind of supermarket shopper are you?
I will browse the circular online to see who is having better sales. But I will travel an extra 10 minutes to save another $50.

Boy do I miss Waitrose and the M & S Food Hall
I love Waitrose, but I have to stop myself from shopping there. I work in Wilmslow in Cheshire and its super posh...yesterday I went in there and saw a coupe with dreadlocks and really plummy voices. It was funny. M&S Food Hall is good for a splurge. But to be honest, I think Morrisons is the best now as they have the best meat and fish. I love Waitrose though...

I'll tell you how sad I am, I go to the Waitrose website sometimes and just look and salivate. I haven't been home in 19 months. I need some of those little picnic scotch eggs - with salad cream of course, now I'm pregnant its really bad, I also need Chocolate Angel Delight, luckily my Mum sent some, but I've eaten it already Oh and the chocolate lolly's at the register in M & S - YUMMY. We are hoping to come home in a couple of months, so look out supermarkets here I come - woo hoo

Re: What kind of supermarket shopper are you?
My favorite day of the week is circular day. I'm pathetic. I get out my sharpie and circle. I'm also a huge fan of King Kullen's 10 off 75 coupons on the front of their circulars so that usually wins me over if they're having good sales on other items when I need to do a big shopping.
I'm loyal to Primavera Pork Store in Massapequa for my meat. Again, I try to wait for the 10% coupon in Clipper before I go do a big shopping :)

Re: What kind of supermarket shopper are you?
I am pretty loyal to Stop and Shop/Peapod.
However, if I just need something quick I go to a local store right up the block.

Re: What kind of supermarket shopper are you?
I usually go to the Supermarket that is 5 minutes from my house. Because it is convenient. But that is the ONLY reason it gets any loyalty from me!
If there is a really good special (like 4.99 Porterhouse or something) then I might go to a different store.. but it has to be a REALLY good special to compel me. If there is an event in town, I will usually go to a different supermarket just to avoid the crowded parking lot

I mostly shop at Stop and Shop and Trader Joe's, but I shop for some sales at the supermarkets surrounding me. (I have 6 within 5 minutes from us.)

Re: What kind of supermarket shopper are you?
We only have three supermarket brands here. I go to two. I usually go to Coles, b/c I live next to it. Sometimes I go to Woolworths, but I don't drive so that is only when my husband drives. Sometimes I go to the shopping centre and there is a nice food market there. I usually go where I think I get the best quality.

Re: What kind of supermarket shopper are you?
Supermarket Ho here!
I wish I could get everything in one place, but my problem is I'm a cheapskate. I don't like to buy produce in the supermarket because it's so much cheaper in Brixton market. I don't buy very many toiletries in the supermarket either, because, well, people here just don't - the selection suks - plus it's cheaper in Superdrug.
Even when I lived in the US, I went where the sales were! (and it was so much easier to tell where they were because there were all those handy flyers in the Sunday paper with coupons!!! Oh, how I miss coupons!!!)
I prefer Tesco cottage cheese and tomato sauce, but the Sainsbury's near us is bigger so I can get more stuff in one shop there. There's a sainsbury's local near our house, so that's handy if I just need a couple of items. and there's a Waitrose near work so it's just too easy to go in there at lunch time! Seriously, I've been in there just to "browse"!

Re: What kind of supermarket shopper are you?
The majority of my food is bought at Stop & Shop. If I need fruits & veggies during the week, I hit up Ivarone's.
I get my meat from my husband, pays to have someone in the food business!!
We do BJ's once a month for things like cereal, peanut butter & paper goods
Hit up Target for the sales on paper towels & toilet paper. I refuse to pay full price for them!
