What kind of winter coat does your DH wear?
for the office? Dh doesnt like his pea coat , but i really dont know what else he can wear over his suit.

would he wear a leather coat? my DH has a heavy one, very warm, that i think is Kenneth Cole. he loves it! J. Crew also makes great coats.

my DH wears a Gap sporty all weather type coat - he would never wear a peacoat or leather jacket (not that there's anything wrong with it).....

DH has a hip length wool coat that zips. It doesn't really work over a suit though...he just wears shirt and tie to work though so yeah. I think with a suit it would be better to go with a longer coat, like an overcoat.

DH wears a knee length wool dress coat - IMO it's really the only thing that looks appropriate with a suit and tie ........
He has a peacoat for the weekends, or if he's wearing khakis or something ......

My DH wears the same and has a down casual jacket for the weekends
