It's not that I can't shake it off, but I HATE when people call me "Van". My aunt calls me this no matter how many times I ask her not to.

Junior - I got in college and my college friends still use it...I usually don't mind, but its a little embarrassing in public. I was in a sorority and my big sister and I had the same name so everyone started calling me jr....

Ollie...when my niece was a baby she couldnt say Emily and that's what she's called me since. Now all of my other nieces and nephews (and my parents and sisters!) call me Ollie!

Ca (Pronounced Cah... like if the doctor asks you to say ahhhh to to see your throat... Cahh).
My sister couldn't say Jessica when she was younger (she's 2 1/2 yrs younger than me) so she called me Cacaca which turned to Ca and it stuck! I like it and it's actually wierd to hear her call me Jessica if she's introducing me to someone!

My brothers used to call me "thunder thighs" when I was young. The irony is that I was actually skinny back then! Evil brothers.

I hate when people call me Teri (or Terri, or Terry, whatever). I have never once in my life told anyone to call me that and I think it's very presumptious to assume I go by it. The only person I ever let call me that was my grandfather...and even that took a while for me to get used to.

My MIL is Patricia and she doesn't like when people call her Pat, but so many people do. I don't really get it. I think the name Patricia is so pretty!! I also call her Tricia.

My name is Noreen.
My family calls me Reenie or Reen which I dont mind too much.
But my ex, who is also one of my best friends, has always called me Reenster. I hate it, he knows I hate it, and yet he still calls me that.

I don't really have a nickname, oddly enough. My friends used to call me "Lawn" or "Lawnie" but that was about it, and they haven't called me that in years.
DH has a few "nicknames" when he's angry that I can do without.
