Im sorry but there REALLY is no excuse for this. REGARDLESS of the plates. I know few states have these restrictions and that is precisely why it should be easy to remember.
It is INCREDIBLY dangerous and I cannot tell you how many times I have seen this. I have posted about this happening on the JRP before and the only conclusion I could draw from this, and I may get flamed for it, is that it is entirely possible that the driver does NOT speak English and perhaps doesn't understand what "commercial vehicle" means.
People who do this put SO many people at risk - the drivers next to them, behind them and not to mention the possible drivers and pedestrians ABOVE them on the over passes.
There has to be a level of accountability on the part of the driver, owner of the vehicle and perhaps a dispatcher (if used).
I agree with every word you said!
It is their JOB to drive! Pay attention and be safe!
