What stroller are you getting?
We did some "test rides" this weekend and I'm so torn between a city mini gt or the city select.
I love how the city mini gt was lightweight and very easy to maneuver. BUT It does not have the option for the baby to face you unless you use a car seat adapter.
The select is heavier and more bulky but has a forward and rear facing capabilities, it can also convert into a double stroller which isn't that important to me.
I like the mini gt much better but not sure if I can get over the idea that the baby would need to be in their car seat to face me. Is this a deal breaker?
What other strollers should I look at??

We went with the britax b-agile travel system. The stroller is a lightweight stroller, and the car seat is one of the best (britax b-safe). I am 99% sure it's the same way that the baby is forward seating when not in the car seat.

We're going with the city mini. We were torn between the city mini and the city mini gt. But felt the city mini felt more stable when we tried them out.

We got the City Mini GT which we just started to use for our 6 month old. Prior to that we used the snap and go for her and she faced towards us.

I registered for the city mini gt. Look into the uppababy Cruz. It's light weight, the seat can be forward or rear facing and the carseat snaps in like a snap & go when you remove the seat.

Re: What stroller are you getting?
I have had the City Select for the last three years. I absolutely love it. I love how DD can face me or face forward. The basket is huge and extremely easy to reach when it's a single. It pushes very easily, has a great sunshade, and reclines easily.
I also have a City Mini for my parents and while it's great that it folds so easily the basket is a nightmare and totally useless. We also have a Chicco Liteway as our travel stroller. It's fine for a lightweight umbrella stroller, no frills.

We have the city select, haven't used it yet but I love the option of adding the additional seat if you have another and the size of the basket. I don't find it heavy at all

We have the city mini, but when dd was still in the infant seat we used the chicco key fit caddy (snap and go for the chicco brand)
I really liked that in the beginning versus the city mini, but now I like the city mini...

I hate hate hate my double because of the basket and nowhere to store stuff, but I'm getting the City mini GT single because honestly it has all of the features I am loooking for other than that damn basket useless. I really wanted a JOovy instead but DH didn't like it. UGH
iso of it used, btw. I hate that I have to spend $$$$$$$$ on something I don't love 100%
It drives the best and it lies flat and folds flat. Other than that, I have nothing but complaints lol

Re: What stroller are you getting?
I'm getting the Graco Soho. This is DC#2 and there's no way I'm spending $$$$ on a stroller that I won't be using all day every day. For me, convenience and being able to fold with one hand is a high priority so we went with that plus I tried every stroller out and DH and I both loved it. I plan on using a sling/carrier most of the time like I did with DS.

Re: What stroller are you getting?
We started using our citi mini when DS was about 4 months. Never saw an issue that he wasn't facing me.

The associate in buy buy baby actaully told me "once 4-6 months pass, the Baby won't want to look at your face anyway, they will want to see the world."
I thought that was funny and a good point.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone, much appreciated. The search continues....

Same here. I used it starting at that age specifically when I wanted her to be able to see if we were going somewhere fun like the animal preserve or if it was hot and I wanted her to stay cooler. Otherwise, I found it more convenient to use the snap and go and keep her in the carseat which we did most of the time for over a year.

Re: What stroller are you getting?
i had the City Mini with my first and i still love it (he's 5) even tho i havent used it in awhile...he can still fit in it. When he was born i used the car seat and snap n go. once he outgrew that, he was too small to start the city mini. I bought a graco travel system stroller used and used that for a few months. this was also the 2010 model which slouches more than the newer models.

Re: What stroller are you getting?
We are going to get the orbit. It is expensive but we like how the car seat fits with the base, how it can be positioned and how easy it seems to use. My last child I had a bugaboo and I thought it was the worst stroller impossible to close a pain to take apart.

We have the Uppababy Cruz and absolutely love it. We bought the adapter to use our car seat while he's still so little, and it works out perfectly.

Re: What stroller are you getting?
Advice from a mom of three... I wouldn't put much weight in the facing you option. Like the other poster said, around 4-6 months, they want to see where they are going. The carseat + adapter would be fine for that.
A few months ago, my SIL was having the hardest time taking walks with her 5 month old DD. She sent me a pic of her unhappy baby in the stroller and asked me how she can get her DD to like it. She was avoiding going outside and the mall at that point because her DD hated it. I suggested she turn her around to face out. That was exactly the problem. She was much happier after she did that.
