What the earliest you would put your baby in a little baby pool?

probably not for at least a few months but mainly bc id be worried about sun exposure

3 months at the earliest. I would want them to have good head/neck control first.

baby pool in my backyard, maybe 6/7 months and only if I'm there.. at that age i think babies can sit up without plopping all over..

DS1 was born 7/30 and due to timing, wasn't in a baby pool until the following summer.

DD was born 7/29 and she didnt go in until this summer - and even now its only for a little bit and it has to be HOT out lol

i put DD in the baby pool for the first time yesterday (she's 4.5 months and has great head control). she went in 3 times for about 5 min each and was in the shade the whole time. the last time i put her in i gave her a quick bath.
i think under 4-5 months old isn't worth it. it's so much work trying to keep them from flopping to the side/over. i didn't go in the pool with her though. maybe that would have made a difference.

I would wait until they could sit on their own. Not under 5-6 months...they have trouble regulating their temperatures.

same. except she was born in the beginning of July. She was in the pool every day the summer of her 1st birthday though!

DS #1 was probably 7 months but he was a winter baby.
DS #2 was born in April...so I am sure at some point this summer I will plop him in for a bit, while holding him of course. So at most he will be 4 months.

Well my baby will be 8 months by June. Which is great bc in laws live on the beach with a nice pool 
I think at 4 or 5 months I would sit the baby in a little kiddie blow up pool while sitting next to him/her on a very hot day

My son was born last January, so he was 5 months in June. We bought a tiny little kiddie pool with a giant sunshade attached and put like 2 inches of water in it. He couldn't fully sit up yet on his own, but was good if we held him at the waist, so that's what he did. He was only in it for about 15 minutes tops. He loved it!

I was a June baby and my mom had me in the pool for 4th of July. 
I think I will have my LO in for the summer. But I am due in Feb.

Lol wow I'm a bad mommy! Abby got her first dip in the baby pool at 4 weeks old! Just so happens my niece is exactly a year older so she was playing in the baby pool and I took Abby over and dunked her toes and put a little on her hair it was well into the 100's and I dried her right away she loved it and gave a huge smile.
