What Time Do You Leave Work?

What time do you leave work, on average? And what time does your office "officially" close?

At my job, office hours are 9-5:30 and by 5:40, the place is empty. I've never seen that before and I'm wondering if it's just me or if most people actually leave when the office closes.

my job is done at 5. It becomes a ghost town.

I leave at 5.00 or 5.30.

My office is pretty empty by 6.00. On Fridays there's a mass exodus.

It depends. I am in the office most days by 7 so I try to leave by 4 or 4:30. Some days I am in the field though in the afternoon so I just head home after that.........

It depends - on a good day, I'm here from 7:45-4:45. On an ok day, I'm here until 5:30 and on a bad day, I leave at 8pm (it's quicker to work until 8pm than to leave after 6pm based on the train schedule - we're entitled to car service at 8pm and if I stay past 6 - I usually have more than enough to do to keep me here until 8pm).

ETA - Everyone here keeps different hours - the earliest start at 7:30 and the latest start at 9:30. By 6pm on most days, the place is pretty empty though.

Our official hours are 8 - 5. And that's what I work. Some people work 9 - 6. Usually by 6:00pm the place is pretty empty. I can usually leave by 5:00pm most days.

How'd you add on a half hour and take off 2 1/2 hours at the end of the day?

I work 8-4 during the school year and 7-3 summer hours. Our hours vary, but there are people there at 8 or 9PM every night working late. We also generally all work from home after work.

9-5. I am usually one of the firsts to leave. Many people stay after 6pm

depends on the day, i work six days a week, my latest day is 12-8pm and the other two full days are 8-5pm and 8-6pm

I work 5 days a week.

Usually get in between 715 and 745 and leave between 515 and 6pm.

anywhere between 5 and 7 although my official hours are 9 - 5.

I leave at 5 pm on the nights that I have to go to class. Otherwise, on average, I leave between 6 and 7.

There are no set hours at my office; some work 7 - 4, some work 10 - 8. It depends on your department and responsiblities (as in some people need to be on the phone with people in Australia and therefore would work later).

When we all worked 9-5 many people would all leave close to 5. Now we work flex hours, and some leave right at the end of their shift, others don't.

I am supposed to work 9:30-5:30 durin gthe academic year but I frequently stay untill about 6-6:30, later when it's busy.

For the summer when it is less busy I work 9-5:30 or 9:30-6 M-Th 9-1 on Fridays, and can usually leave by 5:45 or 6:15, but not this week.

my given hours are 8-6 but I usually leave anywhere from 6-7..sometimes later.

There really aren't rules for my time..it's all manager need. If she came in everyday at 7..those would be my hours..

thankfully she hasn't lost her mind completely so we both get in around 8.

We leave late though.

business hours are 8:30-5:30

I am there everyday 5-10 minutes early and leave when the work is done. sometimes 5pm, sometimes 6.

my hours are pretty decent now but back at the home office people are there at 8am and there are still people working after 8pm. So awful

I leave between 5-5:15 bc I pick up DD from daycare and then I usually work more from 9-11 or 12-ish after we eat dinner and put her to bed.

I work 8.30 to 5.30 but usually leave closer to 6.

my job is till 5 but the bosses usually stay longer.

I'm a clock watcher (since I hate my job right now) I run out that door no later the 5:01

I am not getting paid well enough to stay till 5 so i feel i will not work past that for anything!

Regular office hours are 9:00-5:30 and yes, the place is a ghostown in a manner of minutes. My hours are 10-6:30 and I'm often hear until about 7:30-8:00.

It varies. I do a lot of work off site but the building I am in now mostly everybody leaves at 4:00pm that is why I'm on my laptop now cruising the internet, no-one is around. The maintenance men are here until 7pm.
