What time do you turn on & off your outdoor Christmas lights?
DH apparently thinks we have stock in LIPA and has the timer set from 5:30-10:30.

We're 5:30pm - 12:30am and we run two inflatables 24/7. I know the LIPA bill will be scary this month!

A timer from 4pm to 1am. No stock in LIPA here either, but we just like the lights on.

We generally turn them on once it gets dark 530 or so until I go to sleep around 11. We have the LED lights though

we have them on a timer. They go on when it gets dark out and then we have them set to go off around midnight.

They are on a senser timer. They turn on when it senses darkness (so about 4:30-5 pm) and they stay on and go off automatically 8 hours later.
Maybe we SHOULD have stock in LIPA

Wow...everyone leaves their lights on later than we do? I told DH to set the timer to 10...who is up that late anyway looking at them during the week. Most people are sleeping by then.

I'm planning on getting a timer next year, but now, I turn them on when I get home from work, around 5:30 or so, and turn them off at bedtime, which is almost always after 10, but usually before 11.

I have to set up the timer but, now they go on at 6:30pm and off at 6:30am (they are plugged into the outlet in the garage and we don't have an entrance from the house - once we get the timer set up we'll keep them on until midnight).

ours are on a timer... they go on a little before 5 and turn off around 11 when we go to bed. i figure- go for it! we don't have a crazy amount of lights, its only for about a month, and i like seeing them through the windows

dusk they go on - usually around 5-ish and they go off at 11pm.

Ours are on a timer. They go on at 5 and I don't know what time they go off because DH set the timer and I am never up late. my guess would be until 1230 or 1 since DH gets home around 1130 or 12.

Usually 5pm-10pm or 11pm. The inflatable says it uses less energy than a string of lights.
We usually keep the outside lights on all night on Christmas Eve and Christmas Night.

i put them on when i get home from work, around 5 and turn them off when i get up for work, around 4:30am. but we only have a condo with not many xmas lights at all.
