Restaurant giftcard so they can go out to dinner.

Same idea as making food and bringing it to there house, but instead giving them the giftcard to go out to eat.

When my grandmother passed away my ILs sent us a basket from Wolferman's. It had muffins and all types of spreads in it.

I now send it whenever someone passes because I found it so helpful to have quick, filling food that was ready to go when we really didn't feel like "preparing" anything.

I recently sent a tray of cookies to a friend of mine whose mother passed away. It worked out well because she had a lot of family in from out of town and many of them were children. So they all enjoyed them. They are easy to eat on the run.

I usually use Florie's Finales

I was wondering the same thing. If he was the major breadwinner, depending on finances, she could struggle.

When our co-worker's dad died, we got her a spa gc.
