what to look for when buying a bedroom set?

like for the dresser i want the drawers to open smoothly, no clothes to fall into the lower drawer (a dust cover?), no wood shavings to fall onto clothes, etc.

what else should i consider?

we'd be getting a king size bed....(thinking about a sleigh bed), a chest , 2 night stands, and dresser w/ mirror.

How much would a good quality bed set cost?

for a good quality set, the drawers should be dovetailed. i'm not sure how much a good set would run because i'm buying every piece individually. do you really need a chest AND dresser? i would do one, not both. you dont want your room to be cluttered with furniture, unless you're looking mainly at functionality.
