what type of double strollers is everyone looking into
if your "older" ones will be barely walking? I dont think a sit and stand will work for a 15 month old and I like the duo glider but then I have to get a new carrier.

Re: what type of double strollers is everyone looking into
Just purchased a Phil & Ted's Stroller. They come in double's and single strollers with double attachments. I bought mine on EBAY for a bit less than retail....
Worth a look, even though it is a bit pricer than some others.
A friend of mine has it and said she wished she had purchsed this stroller before buying all the other ones...

I like the Graco Duoglider LXI. They have it in i think 3 different prints. I just love Graco strollers, they fold down so easily!

How heavy is it? I will be shopping for the same, DD will only be 14 months when baby #2 arrives.
I have a travel system from graco right now, i call it my caddilac stroller since it's so roomy, how much heavier do you think is the double one?

Re: what type of double strollers is everyone looking into
Dh asked why we have to get a double stroller last night Umm a 15 month old will have just learned to walk and he thinks I am not gonna go anywhere for 2 months! Is he crazy! I think I am leaning towards the Duo Glider. I have a Peg Perego now and their Duette stroller is $699 which I think is alot. Will you guys be selling your single strollers?

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do! I don't know if I want a front-back like the duoglider or a side by side.
I don't want it to be too heavy since I'll be using it on my own alot and it has to be easily manueverable in the stores as well as easy to collapse and open up!

Re: what type of double strollers is everyone looking into
I would totally look into a Phil & Teds, they are amazing. The front seat is quite high and the baby hangs from a hammock on the bottom, the movement for the infant is amazing! once the infant grows older, you snap a seat onto the frame and its a double. I would like one of these if I ever need one. Oh and they are tres trendy!
Look how cool this one is!

I would say at 15 months you definitely need a double stroller. They may be able to walk, but they don't go in the direction you want them too! LOL

Re: what type of double strollers is everyone looking into
I have a Duo Glider that I used with Emma and Jeremy. Its HEAVY, on it's on 31lbs isn't too bad but then you put a 20lb+ child PLUS a 10lb infant carrier and a 10lb baby in it and you are pushing around 65+lbs.
The Phil and Ted stroller bugs me, the bottom child gets to look at the other ones back the whole time After pushing a 4 yr old and a 1 yr old in a stroller Jeremy would be pizzed if I put him on the bottom!!

I think the sit n stand is a great concept, but is it compatible with infant carriers?
and what if the older child wants to nap???

My niece and nephew are 15 months apart so when my nephew was born my sister brought this double carriage and loves it.

That is my whole problem with the sit and stand, they cant nap. I was looking at the side by sides also but my dh made a good point in that not all door opening will be able to accomidate that size and it will be hard to manover.
