What type of window treatments....

Would you put on these windows? We need to put something because the glare on the TV is unbearable. I keep going back and forth with what i want to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

TIA

I think Roman Shades will work well with the decor in the room and the rest of your home.

I'm torn... I really love wooden blinds, but I feel like it would darken the room... I'm not a fan of roman blinds though. Chat Icon

I agree
There are a lot of styles out now, so they won't look so plain

I have Roman Shades and love them. If you get them to fit inside the window frame they look really good. I had Silhouettes in the BR of my last home and wooden blinds in the LR/DR. They were both such a pain to clean while you can just run the vacuum over Roman Shades.

I would go with honeycomb blinds, they give you privacy but let the light into that beautiful room! Especially since you have a dark color on your walls. I got mine from blinds.com and they are awesome.

something that will filter the light but add some design. i would opt for bamboo blinds. there are so many color variants and you can band them w/ decorative ribbon. wait until you decided on the new furniture though.

Tine - I like the shutters. We had considered plantation shutters but thought the windows were too big. Now I see it's a possibility! Thanks for posting!

Re: What type of window treatments....

I have plantation shutters in my house in white, I love them, and they are easy to clean. I'd say those because they will add style but keep the clean lines of the room.

BTW.. I LOVE the room!

My pleasure - when they are open they let in a lot of light.

This pic shows my Roman Shades. I have them in different colors in every room. The backing is neutral, so they all look the same from the street. I got them at JC Penney and they were CHEAP!

if you opt for the shutters, then it would have to match your molding (white). i LOVE the look of shutters but IMO, it might be too much for your room. you need something soft and more delicate.
