What was the best Baby/Bridal shower favor you ever got?
I am planning a bridal shower for my future SIL. Need good favor ideas.

Best bridal was a wine topper
Baby- toss up...I like edible..cookies, or bath shower gel....I also make shower favors and made chocolate covered pretzel rods with candy toppings for my sisters baby shower last month and they were a HUGE hit!

I loved my favors.
For placecards my mom gave out personalized makeup bags.
Then the favor were these really nice glass plates that you can put cookies or a small cake on.
She also gave everyone baby bottles filled with jelly beans.
We just had a party for my mom's 60th and I gave out these adorable tote bags. And then also matching stationary.
I go to a woman who has an unbelievable selection....we can never choose just one thing.

We just did my sister's bridal shower and we did mini rose bushes - everyone was raving about them. It worked out well since they served as the centerpieces for the tables too.
We got them on sale 3/$10 at Waldbaums of all places

I love anything useful. And I always throw away chachkie (sp?) type things.
Two favorites:
Yummy Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Cozy, fuzzy socks that are sort of like slippers, they were pink and rolled up then tied with a pretty bow. I wear them with my pj's.

For my bridal shower, my mom bought nice dishtowels and folded them in a fan with a ribbon around them. Gave those, and a small yankee candle to all the guests.
I still use my dishtowel and candel.

baby shower
The girl wa shaving a girl and the favor was pink nail polish, clear nail polish and a file. They put it in a cute little bag.

for my baby shower my aunt made nail kits and on the front of the box it said PAMPER YOURSELF!

Anything edible is always great.
Things like precious moments and candles I throw away.
Things I've actually used are tea bag holder, frame and apron.
I also got an ice cream scooper at one and I was like, an ice cream scooper? But you know what, I use it all the time and it's better than the one I had.
We did wine stoppers at our wedding and a lot of people have said they use it all the time.
ETA I went to one with a flower/garden theme and the favors were little trowels/hoes/knee pads and gardening gloves. I used those too!
