What was the menu like at your DC's 1st birthday?
Im trying to come up with a menu for DD's party but im lost as to what to include...so far all i have a punch bowl, cake and cupcakes.....HELP!

we just did hero and salad beer wine and soda and cake simple and sweet 2-5pm we also only had family and it was under 20 people there

We are hiring a BBQ man from one of the restaurants that my husband deals with in NYC & doing
Hamburgers
turkey burgers
chicken nuggets
hot dogs
salads
cake, fruit & cookies

We are having about 50 people here on Sunday for DD's 1st birthday party and our menu is:
hero
various salads - potato, mac, cole slaw
sausage and peppers
eggplant rollatini
turkey breast
ribs
ziti
mac and cheese
green salad
cake
cupcakes
cookies
watermelon
soda
beer
wine
juice boxes
chips and salsa, potato chips, and goldfish crackers

at my nephews first bday we had hawaiin chicken with rice, sausage and peppers, baked ziti and a hero sandwich with mac and potatoe salads and for the kids chicken nuggest and mac and cheese

we had it at a hall, so whatever they offered us for an afternoon party. We had a buffet cocktail hour & some passed hors d'ouvres, then a salad I think & then a lunch choice. We had a cake brought in, and the hall gave us an ice cream dessert as well.

DD's 1st birthday party is next Saturday at our house. We're having:
mini hot appetizers
layered taco dip w/ chips
3 different types of heros
potato salad
cole slaw
pasta salad with grilled vegetables
For the kids: chicken fingers & fries
cupcakes
cookies
fruit
soda
beer
wine
juice boxes
bottles of water

We had hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken and salads. We did soda, juice, water, iced tea, beer and wine and also had cake. We had about 40 adults and 20 kids.
