Me and my brother played so many imaginary games
-we played a variation on boat, where anythin off the couch was fire, so we couldnt let our feet touch the ground for the entire length of the game
- we played disney world, where the couch was our plane, hotel, and various rides at disney and we would act them out
- we played restaurant where we would make up menus and have my mom and grandma come to order food from us, of course all we really made was peanut butter and jelly..we used to charge them 5 cents
- we played turtle where we woudl stick a huge blanket over us and that was our shell that we lived inside...occasionally one of us would stick our head out, but mostly we were just two turtles living in our shell

My favorite thing to play was "cities of gold"... being an explorer searching for legendary Lost Cities of Gold...

Legos!

My cousin and I used to try and get the swing to go as high as we could get it, so we could jump off and "fly" into the tree in front of it. We were really lucky we never got seriously hurt.

I played "landscaper" one summer...grandparents (who owned our home) were not thrilled. Our backyard had giant pits filled with water ringed by dollar store flowers, we got into the cement mix and tried to make lawn statues, we even tried to make crop circles.

I must have been a fun kid to raise.

House was a biggie for me. I was always a mommy with my cabbage patch doll as my baby.

The whole spare room was set up like a classroom. With desks, chalkboard, and I made my own library system.

I took all of my books and made index "check out" cards.

Little house on the prarie .. my sister and I would make mud soup and acted like we lived on a farm.

My sister & I did this too. I just called her up about it last week when I was watching the show.

lots of things...

I remember playing "school" a lot. My dad got us an old chalk board out of an adandoned school in Brooklyn, along with a few other items and set it up for us in the garage.

Manhunt - it was like hide and seek in the neighborhood. Some of our neighbors hated us because we liked to hide in their bushes.

Hide & Go Seek was a favorite. The thing that kept us busy for hours was drawing up blueprints of our dream boats. I'm sure it had something to do with our dads were always rebuilding antique boats as a hobby & had blueprints in the shop downstairs.

We would draw out outline of the boat & make space for movie theatres, swimming pool, etc. Inevitably one of us would add something cool like a spiral staircase or bowling alley. The four of us would then furiously revise our blueprints or start all over to incorporate the new feature.

I loved playing fort and leggos. My neighber and I would run a string from a tree in his backyard to a tree in mine and we would build Leggo ships, hook them to the string and watch them travel down the string and fall into the tree

Teacher..I used to love making up fake tests, then grading them.

I loved playing restaurant too, ptaking orders and making pretend food!!

Loved plaing doctor and bandaging and fixing up all my stuffed animals. To this day, someof them are still bandaged in a hope chest in my old bedroom at my moms!!

In the winter we used to sled down the hill at my house while my dad stood in the street. It was very suburban but my mom made him stand in the street just in case.

I hosted many a tea parties with my Cabbage Patch dolls. My grandma (prior to happy pills and being certifiable) used to bring me to NYC to the Plaza for real tea parties.

We played teacher with our chalkboard that was in our basement. I also played beauty salon.

My friend and I used to play Barbies. I would come over with like 10 shopping bags and it would take 3 hours to set up.

We would also play Night Club. I was the bartender and she was the dancer.
