What week was your baby shower?
My SIL in pregnant and I was wondering during what week(s) do you normally plan a baby shower for?

I live in Chicago, so my NY shower was early because I had to fly in. I was 28 weeks. This made me a little rushed to get all registered before the invitations went out.
My Chicago shower was at 34 weeks which was perfect! It was late enough that I was organized but early enough that I had time afterwards to go out and buy the necessities that I didn't get at the showers.

I had my baby shower with DD at 28 weeks (a little earlier than they wanted but because of out of town travelers, that was just the best time to do it.)
I didn't have a baby shower for #2.

I wanted it to be earlier, but becuase both mom, and MIL/FIL are going on 3 week vacations, one right after the other, it will have to be at 35 weeks

Do you think 36 weeks is too late? My mom lives in Florida and planning with FH is going to be interesting. I may have to put my foot down on this one.

I will be 28 weeks - earlier than many, but I'm having twins and my mom did not want to take a chance since twins have a higher chance of going earlier and/or requiring bedrest.

With DD, that shower was around 32 weeks. This time, it will be at about 26 weeks- only because everyone is soo busy in July and August.

I am going to be 34 weeks for the one my step-mom and MIL are throwing and 35 weeks for the one my mother is throwing.

I was 31 weeks too but we live out of state and it was alot of planning to get us to be able to get down to LI for a weekend.
