My sister taped her vaccum cleaner. Worked like a charm. We still swear that will be the father-daughter dance song as it was the only time she stopped screaming.

thats funny! ..but I dont have a tape player...
Do you have an iPod and speakers? That's what we use! DH downloaded white noise that we play on repeat all night long!

With Sarah we tuned the clock radio to static between stations. My dad was horrified so he bought one for Andy similar to this one. Ours is a little bigger but I didn't see it on the site any more.

This is the one I have...I LOVE it! In fact I am giving it to my good friend for her baby shower next month. You can use batteries or plug it in.

We had done this too and then DD burned it on CD. After a while of playing the same thing over and over though the CD started to break down. Then we got a sound machine. I'd definitely go that route.
