What would you make of this comment?

A new teacher in my department came to me and told me that one of her students has been making bizarre comments lately - the other day, in the middle of her lesson, he just busted out with the comment "I'm so damn cute, pedophiles would eat me up like candy"

He's a 7th grade boy - on the diminutive side and very cute.

I told her to report it to the guidance department. It just struck me as a completely inappropriate comment for a seventh grader to make. Then again, nothing really shocks me these days....

Oof... that would definitely disturb me. I'm with you... I'd report it to guidance. Even in the age of "they'll say anything"... that's STILL strange.

Very bizarre and disturbing, even considering the crazy things they say. I'd tell my AP.

Tell everyone in writing andddddd..... it could be something from tv.
