what would you rather have (bathrooms)
we are adding on to our house and are putting all our bedrooms and at least one bathroom upstairs. Considering our budget, these are our bathroom options it seems:
1. 2 bathrooms, but the master one would not be totally finished for now. Just all the plumbing, fixtures would come later.
2. only do one bathroom with 2 sinks, big jacuzzi tub. No master bath.

Re: what would you rather have (bathrooms)
From someone that only has 1.5 baths, I would choose 2 baths any day over 1 no matter how nice the 1 was.

Re: what would you rather have (bathrooms)
If you definitely can plan on doing the master bathroom later then definitley do 2 bathrooms if it costs the same...

The 2 bathrooms. I hate leaving things unfinished, but it will be better in the long run.

Re: what would you rather have (bathrooms)
ITA with all of the other responses. More bathrooms is more betterer, even if it has to wait a little while.
When DC are teenagers, or even tweens, you're going to want at least one bathroom for each (if you have more DC), or your own bathroom upstairs if DD is taking an hour-long shower, and you don't want to run downstairs to use the other bathroom.

Re: what would you rather have (bathrooms)
agree with the above, 2 bathrooms. we moved into our house in novemeber and are still working on the upstairs bath....you can use the toilet and wash your hands and that's pretty much it! it will all come together over time!

Re: what would you rather have (bathrooms)
two baths. 1 bathroom is not even an potion for unless its only me living in a place
ETA- if you are ever considering selling I won't go with 1 bath either. we wouldn't even consider a place with less then 2 full baths

Re: what would you rather have (bathrooms)
We had our upstairs done over and did the same thing, bedrooms upstairs. Do the 2 bathrooms it will be better for resale and as the kids need more bathroom time, it will be easier.

Re: what would you rather have (bathrooms)
actually, if we got the master bath it would give us 3 bathrooms in the house. we have one on the first floor and then we are going to add either one or two more.

Re: what would you rather have (bathrooms)
i would still add 2 baths upstairs so you have three - it iwll be nice when kids are older - 2 showers then - think about when everyone is getting ready for school/work - there will be some kid complaining about going down stairs
we just modified our 2 baths to make the guest bathroom smaller and the master bigger - i want the two sinks in the master and a great shower -
wait to completly do the master nice because you can put nice finishes there and usually get a lot of resale value out
