For a direct sales party? I'm hosting a party for my best friend who does direct sales in chocolate.

What kind of apps would you have?

Cheese and crackers
Wine/soda
Spinach dip
Fruit perhaps....

What else?

Edit about 10 people not including myself and my friend

Chips and veggies with dip and cheese and crackers

Taco dip, Buffalo chicken or Gaucumole, and trader joes caramelized french onion are my go to.

Maybe some additional appetizers:
pepperoni pizza monkey bread is super easy to make and usually a crowd please
Pigs in a blanket and/or pulled pork sliders
Spinach pies
Sweet and sour meatballs
Caprese kebabs (fresh mozzerella, tomato, basil)

If you're not dead set on apps I've found doing a taco bar with all the trimmings is sometimes easiest. I make Spanish rice and refried beans on the side.

Um... obviously a chocolate platter then!!!

Who doesn't love chocolate? Can you do that towards the end of the appetizers?

Other Ideas:
-Yes to the cheese and crackers
-Def. Yes to the spinach dip (that can be served with bread pieces and a vegetable platter)
-I would do another dip- my favorites are buffalo chicken dip, queso or guacamole.
-Maybe a fruit salad or fruit skewers
-maybe something warm like stuffed mushrooms or something wrapped in puff pastry! Anything with puff pastry is always a hit.
-Bruschetta
-Little bowls of olives, nuts, dried fruit...

oops you said apps. I think you have enough, but salty foods good great with foods, so nuts or chips might be good.

anti pasta platter might be nice
mini quiches
mini pizza or buy a Sicilian and cut into smaller bits

10 people is not that large of a group and keeping the food lite is nice

Re: what would you serve....

Definitely do all of the things you mentioned - I love all of them! I agree with the previous posters who said to do a warm app as well. Some ideas:

-Brie in puff pastry
-Mini pizza bagels
-Pigs in a blanket
-Chicken fingers with dipping sauces
-Cowboy Caviar Cups - not a hot appetizer but soo good!
-Veggie Stromboli

Maybe you could do a chocolate fondue with fruit, pound cake, brownies etc. for dessert.

I think what you have is plenty. IMO people just tend to pick at those kinds of things. They won't be expecting a full spread...

I agree, I think we all have big visions of people eating more than what they will, because no one wants guests to go home hungry but I find most of the time people are picking and lots goes to waste.

Have fun at the party!!
