what's safe to put in 6 month olds crib?
besides a mobile, mirror or soother (can't fit ds's crib) what else can u put in a 6 month olds crib to sooth/ entertain them? would you put a toy in? how about something like in this pic (minus the hook.)

Well everyone is different but i was told to hold off until a year to put anything in. Some people say as soon as they can lift their head and roll that its ok. I just didn't.

truthfully i think that little bear toy you have in your post is fine. it looks so small and its not big and fluffy. my DD is about 6mos and has a blanket rolled longways along her side not near her head. she is not an active baby at all and has had it there for a few months. everyone is different so you gotta do what YOUR comfortable with.

I just recently took everything OUT of DS's crib and he is almost 6 months. Now that he rolls, he is all over the crib, and the 2 stuffed animals I had in one corner got really close to his face one night when I checked on him. So I am leaving the crib empty now. I wouldn't want to risk anything happening.

Around 6 1/2 months I started giving DS a little teddy bear and blanky to sleep with. I also put his bumpers in the crib. He sleep alot better.

Up until about 15 months, the only thing in DD's crib was breathable bumpers, mirror, pacis and her. Now she has a blanket and a stuffed bear. We figure, the crib is for sleeping, not for being entertained, so we never worried about her not having anything to do. Hopefully, if she's bored, she'll fall asleep...

heehee, you're actually right. i just want to keep him entertained a bit in the early moring so i could catch some more  .

At that age she had and still has about 7 little stuffed animals, a blanket and about 8 pacifiers. She rubs the sleeve of one stuffed animal when she's falling asleep and plays with the others in the morning (gets me another hour of sleep  )
