I like edible favors too. We did wine for our wedding.
For my bridal shower, my sister gave out bottles of body wash and sponges with ribbons that said showers of happiness with my name and date of shower. Everyone loved them.

For my Bridal Shower, my mom and sister gave out little pocket mirrors.
For the Wedding, we gave out espresso cups.
Woah, how funny. I had the same favors for my shower and wedding. 
One of the best favors I received was a full size bottle of wine. Very nice!

I did a donation to a charity very close to my heart and my familiy's for my wedding favors.
For my sister's bridal shower we did edible - one of the bridesmaids had these huge rice krispie squares made - 1/2 dipped in chocolate - and they are wrapped in cellophane with whatever bow you want. DELICIOUS!

We had a beach wedding & our favors were beach towels. People loved them & it was fun to see all our friends using them this summer.

i loved my shower favors (my mom and sister thought of them) - a big lipgloss palette with 3 generous pods of color from the body shop. i still use it today!

we gave out ice cream scoopers and two tins, one with chocolate and the other with rainbow sprinkles.
we met while working at Haagen- Dazs 
I also like wine stoppers
coasters
donation favors.
for my shower, my girls threw me a tea party and gave out different tea bags as favors. it was very cute.

WINE only because that's what i like.
Anything edible is also a great choice but the best favor I received was an ice-cream scoop. It is the ine thing i use all the time. This is definately money well spent.

My friend had Teuscher Champagne Truffles, the best chocolates ever. A little pricey though.
