What's the earliest....sonogram related
that a 3d/4d sonogram would look "cute" as opposed to alien-ish? At my last regular sono, baby bean turned and faced the wand I guess so we saw her straight on but she looked a bit alienish because her eyes were still not in their real position.

We had the 3d & 4d done at 16w and got some cute pics. Even caught one of her sucking her thumb

i only had 1 with DS1 - It was mother's day 2009 and I was about 26 weeks. it was totally cute and baby-like, not at all alien. We even got a video of him yawning and stretching!

i think there are better sono machines now... when my sil had one in 2005 my niece looked like an alien... all the ones i see now it just looks like a baby

my paperwork says the best time is between 28 and 32 weeks along.
I scheduled mine for 30.5 weeks along.
