Whats the max no. of c-sections did your dr say you can have?
My dr was telling me the max would be 2 and Im pushing it if I want 3 children, What are the risks if I have a third?
Just thinking for the future. My 1st child is only 3 wks old on Wednesday

My doc hasn't mentioned anything. But my MIL had 3 c-sections without any complications. (I know that was 20 something years ago, but whatever )

My Dr didn't tell me, but he did ask if I wanted my tubes tied at my last visit before I had Todd Jr--lol
My aunt had 3 c's and the nurse who took care of me in the hospital had 4... I'm done at 2, it was harder for me to recover after my 2nd, so I couldn't see myself going though another one.

My doctor said, two was easy, three a little harder and then it gets continually more dangerous. HE did not say I could not do more. HE did say that having three children would be no problem. I depends on the incisions too.

I haven't asked and they haven't said, but my mom had 4 without any problems - and they were all vertical ones which I think are worse.

My Dr didn't say anything to me.
My cousin had 3 c/s. However, she did end up with placenta previa with the 3rd PG.

My dr. said 3 because the scar tissue gets worse with each one.

My mother had 4 c-secs and so did my sister. However with my sister they did say if she wanted to go for the 5th they would probably have to take the baby early because something with her lining inside was getting too thin but she was done after 4 anyway. I had one c-sec and they never said anything about not having another one. You could always get a 2nd opinion.

Her oldest is 2yrs 3 months old.
Her doctor told her after the 1st one to wait 3 months. Then after the second he told her to wait 6 months. If she wants a 4th to wait 9 months.
My Doctor on the otherhand told me to wait one year before trying again for another baby.
So who knows what is right and what is wrong.

i've seen the insides (sorry tmi) of women getting their 4th and 5th and there is so much scar tissue.. one woman's uterus was see thru (no joke). so i think docs would say stop at 3.

kudos to you for contemplating another csection 3 weeks after your 1st... i have no idea if there is a max. My cousin had 3 and her doc said no more due to scar tissue...

i never heard of this before! i had heard that after 3, the dr has to use a new incision...
i had a c/s with DS after pushing for over 4 hours --there was no way he was coming out!!
i am one of 5, and ideally i would like to have 3-4 children!!

My Dr said he is comfortable doing up to 4 c/s. He did say he has worked with women up to 5-6 c/s and they have bene fine, but he safly recommends up to 4.

I had three and complications which led them to the c-sections.
I can rupture my uterus. I had a twin pregnancy on the third. Noone gave me a limit?
Why did they say you were limited?
I was prego immed after 1st c-section-well almost immed. My first two share the same birthday, yes..planned.

My doctor will only do three.
I don't think I want more than that but to quantify it was difficult, since he won't do a VBAC either.

my doc said 2 is ideal, 3 gets a little difficult bc of scar tissue, and 4 is difficult. so she said no more than 2-3. My DH wants 3 kids so he better hope for twins the next time around
