what's the weather like on the south shore of Nassau?

DH and I had a special date night last night and stayed over in the city... Since DH has school tonight after work, I am tasked with taking the suitcase home. I walk about a half mile from the LIRR train station home and am wondering if I'll have to pull this sucker through the snow... I'm just wondering how bad it is there and if the snow is actually accumulating.

There's not much sticking by me in the city, but I understand it's piling up in NJ (according to my secretary who is leaving early so she can get home safely). Curious how bad it is at home... Thought we were only going to get 1-2 inches, and I'm hoping that's still the case!

I'm in Wantagh and the 1 inch or so of slushy snow that we got over night already disappeared, so streets & sidewalks are clear. It started snowing harder about an hour ago but still not really sticking much to the sidewalk or street.

ok I got home at 5pm

the snow was not sticking to the ground

and now the street is covered (I am in long beach)

you should be fine! this is such a weird storm

I know this is totally late, but in case anyone is driving tonight, I just got home from yoga class in Massapequa and the roads are getting icy. The parking lot was super-slick, we were skating across it. Be careful!!!
